The GreenerFuture Leicestershire Advisory Service has officially launched with an inspiring event in Jan 2025, bringing together key stakeholders to accelerate sustainable initiatives across the region. This new service provides businesses, communities, and local authorities with expert guidance on achieving net-zero goals and advancing climate action strategies.
As part of the Leicestershire Collaborate to Accelerate Net Zero (LCAN) initiative, GreenerFuture Leicestershire plays a crucial role in fostering partnership and driving impactful change. The launch event featured insightful discussions, case studies of successful local sustainability efforts, and a road map for future climate action in Leicestershire. Attendees explored innovative solutions, shared best practices, and learned about funding opportunities available to support carbon reduction.
The initiative aims to equip businesses and community groups with the knowledge and tools needed to transition to a low-carbon economy.
By bridging the gap between policy and practical action, GreenerFuture Leicestershire will be a key driver in accelerating the region’s Journey towards net zero.

- For Residents and Communities: For Leicester and Leicestershire residents, use this support to increase energy efficiency and cost savings in your homes. Community groups can also access funding and support to take part in sustainability initiatives for their area.
- For Policymakers: An expert-led research guide on how the public sector in adopt sustainable policies that are in favour of the public with informed recommendations for accelerating the route to Net Zero
